Falklands General Election Is 4 November 2021

FIG has confirmed that the current Legislative Assembly will shortly come to the end of its four-year term, and a General Election is now scheduled for Thursday 4 November 2021 across Camp and Stanley constituencies.
While voting in Stanley mainly takes place in the Town Hall, there are teams that take votes from those working and resident at the KEMH. There are teams of election workers that either drive or fly into Camp Settlements on East and West Falkland.
Eligible voters, please take note that the closing date to apply to go on the Register of Electors is midday Thursday 14 October 2021, After this time no application can be accepted.
In order to be eligible for registration as an elector, the applicant must be: a British/British Overseas Territory/British Overseas citizen; a Falkland Islands status holder; aged 18 years or over; and resident in the Falkland Islands: (a) on the date of application; and (b) for the 12 months preceding the application, or maybe treated as being so resident under the Electoral Ordinance.
If you think you are entitled to vote in the forthcoming election, you are advised to check if your name is on the Register of Electors, by visiting www.fig.gov.fk/registry.
