AIR-BRIDGE SET PROVISIONALLY TO LAND ON Ascension Island ON 08 MAY
By J Brock (FINN)
At an Ascension Island Council Meeting held on Thursday, 30 March 2023, the Acting Administrator, Carl Mackennas. announced the provisional resuming of the airbridge stop-over on 08 May. He further advised that the full length of the runway had opened ahead of the last Airlink flight and that the next Airlink flight should be landing at full capacity.
An FAA Certification fly-over is due to take place at the end of the month. However, Military aircraft and the Airlink flight can use the runway’s full length.
While AIG is awaiting information about seating on the Airbridge, it is assumed that the Falklands’ allotment has not changed.
