Contacting hospital staff via private email and social media
King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) requests that members of the public do not contact hospital staff on their private email or social media regarding hospital business.
Use of private communication accounts for hospital business carries risks with regard to important patient information being separated from the patient’s health records or communication becoming confused.
Hospital staff have been asked not to respond to queries received on personal email or social media other than to advise the enquirer regarding the appropriate hospital email address or telephone number.
The understanding of members of the public regarding this matter is much appreciated.
