Legislative Assembly Christmas Message to the Community
As the festive season approaches, we, the Members of the Legislative Assembly, extend our warmest
Christmas wishes to everyone across the Falkland Islands.
Christmas is a time to come together with family and friends, to reflect on the year gone by, and to look
forward with hope and optimism to the year ahead. Whether in Stanley, in Camp, at Mount Pleasant or
serving BFSAI more broadly, this season reminds us of the resilience and unity that define our community.
2024 has been a year of progress and challenges, but through it all, the spirit of the Falkland Islands has
shone brightly. We are proud to represent such a diverse and dedicated community, and we thank you all
for your contributions, be it in your work, your support for one another, or your efforts to make the Islands
an even better place to live.
As we celebrate, let us also take a moment to remember those who are away from their loved ones,
whether they are members of our community who are overseas for work or medical treatment; or
members of the Armed Forces here in the Islands during the Holiday season. We particularly extend our
gratitude to those working tirelessly to keep our essential services running over the holidays.
From all of us in the Legislative Assembly, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with
health, happiness, and success.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary community. Together, we look forward to 2025 and the
opportunities it brings.
