Successful Maritime Rescue Takes Place
A successful maritime search and rescue mission was carried out late last night and into the early hours of this morning by the Falkland Islands Government with support from partner agencies, including the crews of Sulivan Shipping Services’ ‘Frank Wild’ and ‘Fitzroy’ launches and the crew of Workboat Services’ ‘MV Stevelly Bay’.
The response was in relation to a small vessel being in difficulty in the Berkeley Sound area. Despite challenging conditions and poor visibility, the casualty and craft were safely recovered.
The Falkland Islands Government would like to thank everyone involved.
