Protegat to provide emergency supplies to farms
Following planned routine maintenance in South America, Workboat Services have announced that there will be further delays to the return of the Concordia Bay. This is due to circumstances that have been out of their control.
In order to assist Camp residents who are beginning to experience shortages in essential supplies, the Directorate of Natural Resources have agreed to deploy the Fishery Patrol vessel, Protegat, to supply a limited amount of cargo (which include fuel and dried goods) to farms who are in need.
The Falkland Islands Government are working closely with Workboat Services Limited and RBC Limited to ensure that all those who are experiencing shortages or know they need stores in the next few weeks will receive help.
