Highly Pathogenic Avian influenza – Revocation of Declaration of infected place

 

  1. This is a revocation of a declaration of infected place by Andrea Patricia Clausen, Director

of Natural Resources under article 6(2) of the Animal Health (Emergency Measures for

Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases) Order 2022 (“the Order”).

 

  1. The declaration as infected place of the area known as Volunteer Green, Volunteer

Settlement and Cow Bay (“the premises”) made under article 5(4) of the Order, and published

in the Extraordinary Gazette Number 24 on 18 November 2024 as Notice No. 96, is revoked.

 

  1. The revocation is made after having consulted the Senior Veterinary Officer in accordance

with article 6(3) of the Order, and I am satisfied that-

 

(a) infection or contamination of Avian Influenza is no longer present at the

premises; and

 

(b) compliance with biosecurity guidance as required by paragraph 6(1) of the

declaration is no longer necessary.

 

  1. This revocation is with effect from 31 January 2025.
