Results of VSAT Public Consultation To Be Considered By Executive Council
The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) wishes to thank everyone who responded to the recent public consultation on the proposed changes to the policy that guides the issuing of VSAT licences and the associated fee level. The proposed changes were considered by Executive Council earlier this year in response to the community petition and Select Committee process that took place last year. The consultation period closed on 11 May with over 600 responses received.
The results of the public consultation were due to be considered by Executive Council on 3 June. However, due to the extended public consultation period and the need to properly analyse all responses, FIG wishes to advise that this has now been delayed slightly. Executive Council will now consider the paper on 10 June.
FIG would like to thank the public for their patience so far throughout this process.
