Laydown & New Access Road
The Public Works Department wishes to advise that construction activities south of the Airport Road, adjacent to and east of the Market Garden entrance, have now been successfully completed.
The new access road providing rerouted public entry to Rookery Bay is now fully open. This is a temporary surface and users should be aware of the rocky and uneven nature of the road surface. While some minor works may continue, the area will soon be used as a laydown for materials, with heavy plant and equipment operating on site. Road users are therefore advised to continue to use caution and follow all signage and traffic management measures.
The public’s understanding and cooperation whilst these essential works were undertaken is appreciated.
